Celebrating 20 Years!

I love what I do! Working with, and building relationships with dogs of all ages and breeds and their families, and watching their relationships grow is the best! And as new dogs join familiar families, we are blessed to work together again…it just doesn’t get much better than this. The work I do is not work!

As Pawsitive Steps Dog Training celebrates 20 years, I really want to thank everyone for the opportunity to work together toward a mutual goal…”to achieve a fun, trusting relationship with your pets so you can enjoy the type of unique relationship you originally dreamed of when you first considered adopting a companion animal.”

Along with thanking the dogs and their families, I would also like to thank the vets, pet stores, groomers, dog walkers, and daycares. It is because of people like you and all the wonderful referrals you have given to me over the years that Pawsitive Steps has been so successful, and I have been able to the thing I love. You are all the heart of how this business was built.

New ideas…

It is so exciting, and continues to be so, to see how the methodology of dog training has grown and evolved. No more labeling or accusing dogs of wanting to be the “alpha dog” or using methods of correction that are based around punishment. It has come full circle, and is now based around positive (Pawsitive) reinforcement techniques. We all like to be treated that way, and so do our dogs.

So many dogs…

Over the years I have been privileged to work with several thousand dogs, and these dogs have taught me so much, they are amazing!

I want you all to know that I am committed to continuing to grow, learn and improve my methods in order to help you and your dog. I am continuing with my education by attending seminars, workshops and conferences, and am currently studying online under Dr. Ian Dunbar, Sirius Dog Training, and I incorporate what I learn into my practice.
